TRANSFORMING WATER - USE EFFICIENCY
IN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT

VISION
Creating sustainable communities involves meticulous water management through the implementation of advanced conservation techniques, efficient recycling systems, and the use of sustainable water sources.

The Water Audit Council (WAC) signed an MoU with VASSAR LABS on November 21, 2024, at the Indian Plumbing Association’s annual event in Hyderabad. The partnership combines WAC’s expertise in water audits with VASSAR LABS’ technology solutions to address challenges like urbanization, water wastage, and regulatory compliance.
VASSAR LABS will integrate its aqua-facility and aqua-industry platforms with WAC’s services, using real-time monitoring and predictive analytics to enhance audits and expand into new markets. WAC will support VASSAR LABS’ entry into India’s built environment while gaining their backing for international outreach.
The collaboration will also feature resource sharing, joint marketing, and compliance tools, setting new standards in sustainable water management and driving innovation across industries.

On November 21, 2024, the Water Audit Council (WAC) and JLL launched a white paper titled “Advancing Net Zero Water in the Built Environment”. The paper outlines strategies to achieve net zero water through conservation, reuse, and integration of diverse supply sources.
It highlights technologies such as precision irrigation, water purification, desalination, wastewater treatment, and rainwater harvesting, while advocating for performance-based building assessments. Emphasizing circular economy principles, particularly wastewater recycling, the paper positions holistic water management as vital for sustainable communities.
This collaboration underscores WAC and JLL’s shared commitment to driving innovation and sustainable water practices in the built environment.
